I said all of this in H.N.I.C. For some reason, people just like to see a black woman angry. It's amusing and inspirational to them. Her purpose was clearly self-served.

And hip hop (in its pure form) has been dead for years now. I can't believe people think it will last forever. Genres die and black people move on and just make new ones. Always been this way.

Actually, hip hop is supposed to be of 4 aspects: graffiti, breakdancing, dj'ing/scratching, & mc'ing/freestyle rapping. Battle rapping is the one hanging on- and only by a slight thread. The first 3 been dead for years. Missy was the last of the Mohicans. She still doesn't even get her credit for preserving as much of breakdancing and graffiti art imagery as she could.

The point is one step forward, two steps back. I'm hazy on my feelings toward her point in regards to Cosby BUT she meant that while the media was finally covering something important to the black community it had also decided to tear down someone who was like a father figure to a lot of black people. She was saying that black people can't have anything. She shouldn't have actually defended him though.

So now.. she's trying to make a name for herself with black people and using Iggy and recent racial flareups as her channel to do that. And it's crazy because even after all this drama, I've never heard an Azealia song on urban radio. She's showing as much love as she can to black people with barely a return.It's very strange and unlike anything I've ever seen with an artist before.

I really don't know how Azealia personally benefiting from the issue makes her wrong about it. And Azealia called out Iggy before anyone else while she was still "dickriding hipsters" so there goes that argument.
