Yea I find this slightly amusing tbh. I asked this at some point this week but I forgot if it got replied to.

I just find it unlikely that every modern American genre, bar Classical, originated from black people solely, as if every person from every other ethnic/racial group sat by the wayside and contributed nothing to music. IDK anything about the history but it just seems more likely that certains groups (yts) took racial minority music and integrated it into their own (obviously without proper cultural exchange)

How does this not make sense? I mean, it's obviously out of context in this quote but it makes perfect sense if you watch the interview.
