This Is How We Do wasn't even Katy's first choice. She, her management, and all of her team at Capitol were really pushing for Walking on Air but apparently the opposition convinced her TIHWD was the right choice.
Whatever. It was a streaming hit at least and we got a nice video out of it.
It actually did better than Birthday in most countries, but the promotion was horrible.
The entire era has been a mess since she released Unconditonally.
She's learning though. But her next album won't be sugary pop, that's for certain at this point.
The only thing messy about this era is the way they did Birthday (best song off Prism). Like no promotion but that LQ performance on Billboard and then that ****ed up ass video .!
she's such a barrel of laughs too. i love her attitude. most media-trained pop girls like katy would sit there, smile and say cute, adorable things like 'i love cats!' in a high pitched voice to fulfil her social expectations as a woman. avril doesn't take it, and she shows how smart and independent she is.
TIHWD is clearly Katy's choice. She was super close to Riff Raff and was very influenced by hip hop culture. Barfday is obviously the label's choice hence it was so normcore she felt the need to film that skit instead of a traditional video and didn't seem into that era one bit. Katykats stay believing that troll's inside info.
And yeah shitkira and Godvril are two of my most listened to artists. Godvril is still delivering good bubblegum pop but I miss Akiiii's ethnic music
Around 40 they say cheesy stuff like be yourself or they have many causes to fight for
oh, it sounds much better in context.
i need a gif of julianne and reese's faces when he asks the politics question and references angelina jolie and george clooney.
OMG(odvril) @ Godvril making a song about her a-hole sound so emotional, deep, introspective
she even named her perfume after it, as a satirical take on the idea that women must be well groomed for sex. godvril is the architect of her black star's smell. she tells us to sniff what and when. FEMINIST.
This Is How We Do was obviously Katy's choice. She kind of lost her ear for hits. Those thousands of tweets from Kworb's accounts clearly influenced her though.

I am so disappointed with Shitkira, her last album is horrible and she doesn't even bother. She thinks her career is going to keep afloat because of unemployed latinos watching her low-budget videos on Youtube.
losing grip her chorus goes off. i wish i was one of those hardcore rock stans in the audience from the video. i'd skank my **** off to godvril all night long.

news channels promote her a lot here, her physical album is $6.5 and is sometimes given for free at magazines

She should hire Rihanna's team. They have a good ear for hits.
