As Above So Below is the best horror movies I've seen this year so soo interesting and cool!

You should also check Coherence. It's not exactly horror. It barely has any blood or deaths but it's a thriller.

"As Above, So Below" was soooo good! The trailer made it seem really generic and predictable, but aside from a few moments, that is exactly what it wasn't. I found myself asking wtf out-loud so many times; and although I felt lost about what was happening, there was never actually a moment when I was confused about where the story was, which is good. Every single thing about the film was great- the plot and the way it developed, the characters that I actually cared about, the terrifying moments that honestly gripped my attention and had me making a fist in anticipation. It had every element that makes for a good horror movie.

Like, wow! I'm really glad I gave that movie a try, because I almost wrote it off based on the trailer.

I just finished REC 4 and needless to say I am extremely disappointed. There are still some questions marks in some parts of the plot and the ending was stupid. It was nice to see Manuela Velasco back, but that's it.

And now I hear Jaume might make a REC 5. Spare us, please.

it was good, but not terrifyingly scary imo. just really creepy and made you feel weird.

V/H/S: Viral was a mess luckily, I was in the mood for some cheap horror and knew what I was going into.

The magician story was legitimately interesting, the skateboard one was kinda cool and kickass- but the parallel universe one was just.. dumb; it was serving some film major project nonsense.

Well, that was weird. I have mixed feelings. The humorous parts were a great relief, and the scary parts were really scary, but moments like the husband's head slicing in half vision thing or Amelia's head spinning in a time lapse ruined the moment of certain parts. It was decent overall, though. I was flipping when she kicked the door down.

God, that movie was just dreadful. I seriously can't comprehend how they thought that movie was worth anyone's penny. It's so awful in comparison to the first two. Even worse as a stand alone film. The only part I liked was the skateboarding one but it didn't have a conclusion which bothered me. The parallel universe one would've been awesome if the people didn't have mutant genitalia

Exactly! I didn't find any of the VHS movies necessarily outstanding, but they at the very least gave me a few scares and offered decent stories. The stories in Viral were just really silly, not at all scary or strange, just.. ridiculously dumb. Just another great example of the ever growing list of producers trying to capitalize on horror franchises that seemed to have caught on. Quick buck sequels are always the worst.

M T E V/H/S/2 really was a great sequel, in fact I slightly prefer it over the original, but I really don't know what direction they were taking with Viral. Some people think that it's considered a spinoff instead of a part of the actual series... which I hope.

See that's exactly what I was expecting. They had all those weird symbols and the images on the TV screen (I can't remember exactly what happened in the scene since I only watched the movie once, but wasn't there stuff on the ceiling too? idk). I was expecting some creepy demonic cult stuff but then they tried to pull a Safe Haven and went for shock value, and it didn't pay off at all. They ruined something with great potential and that's the film I had the most faith in.

Wow, turns out the deleted film Gorgeous Vortex is on the Blu-ray release which is already out I guess the film isn't yet online because no one wants to pay for that garbage.

Edit: Okay, I guess it's not on the Australian release which is already out but might be on the WW release in February? It better be. I need something from this film to not be trash. Don't even bring up the pointless wraparound scenes

l bought and watched Cry Wolf on DVD when l was about 6 years old and did not understand it. Just watched it now and... WOO

l've never seen a storyline and plot twist so damn good. My mind is blown

Just watched "Don't Blink" and thought it was alright. The plot was kind of interesting and was played out well, but the characters, who all heavily portrayed a stereotypical horror role (the ex-lovers, the Christian, the angry one, the virgin etc.), really pulled the film down and prevented it from being anything above average. My favourite part of the movie was the guy that kinda looked like Tiziano Ferro- he was hot. (especially when his bum got exposed tehe)
