On the fence about this, if it was for ABC or NBC, even CW I think it'd be a better choice, ABC family is so cheesy, but I can't blame her, it's her first project producing a tv show, so I understand her choice on not trying a bigger network. The good thing it's the same year of the release of her album so it's more promotion to have her name out and another red carpet look to the party release
The plot seems nice, I don't remember any show with a premise like this one, the closest was The Playboy Club, I think. It'd be nice if they have dancing numbers, kind like Burlesque before Ali started singing
