I have a love/hate relationship towards Walks Like Rihanna

Blake Shelton is one of my favorite country artists. This song is all about being at a party and liking someone- they don't have to engage you, but it'd sure be cool if they did. Sure Be Cool If You Did is probably Blake's best song since 2011's Honey Bee, and this song shares a similar vibe. Blake Shelton appears later on the countdown as well with an even catchier country song.

#64 Swedish House Mafia feat. John Martin - Don`t You Worry Child

"There was a time / I used to look into my father's eyes... / Don't you worry, don't you worry, child / See heaven's got a plan for you / Don't you worry, don't you worry now..."

This song annoyed me for a while, but then it struck a chord. I realized how emotionally powerful it is. This song is comforting, telling the listener not to worry. It's rare for a song that I initially dislike to make such an impact, but this song is truly an exception.

#63 Olly Murs feat. Flo Rida - Troublemaker

"Maybe I'm insane / 'Cause I keep doing the same damn thing / Thinking one day we gon' change / But you know just how to work that back / And make me forget my name / What the hell you do I won't remember"

This song deserved more success. I'm honestly surprised it wasn't a top ten hit- it follows the formula for a perfect pop song, but it ended up falling short. I doubt very many people even remember this song, but it's the second Flo Rida feature on my Top 100 of 2013.

#62 Avril Lavigne - Give You What You Like

In what is possibly the best song Avril Lavigne has ever written, she serves raw, emotional hopelessness. As if the acoustic guitar at the beginning of the track, the song's first lyrics (above) reveal a relationship that it anything but perfect- but the imperfection is what keeps it alive. As the song continues, it becomes clear that it is not an easy thing to learn how to love.

#61 Lily Allen - Hard Out Here

"I suppose I should tell you what this bitch is thinking / You'll find me in the studio and not in the kitchen / I won't be bragging 'bout my cars or talking 'bout my chains / Don't need to shake my ass for you 'cause I've got a brain"

Lily Allen serves brash honesty in her long-awaited comeback single. The above lyric exemplifies exactly what every Lily fan was waiting for her to come back with- a statement. As the first words we've heard from Lily in quite a few years, this song is a welcome addition to the Best Songs of 2013. If only the momentum had carried further into 2014.
