I don't know why yall are acting like this is some big plot line that was never explained. Pretty sure that's the same Barn/Shed Maggie brought Ma Petite to, which wasn't very far from the camp at all. They probably just walked back once Elsa and Stanley left.

There have also been countless references to children this season, toys, puppets, fairy tales; especially in the last few episodes speak of fairy tales and references to children stories.

This seems very likely, I hope not though. It'll be like a mix of Murder House and Asylum, we need something completely new. Themes involving either Space, Royals, Apocalypse, War/Holocaust, Mutants, Stranded/Isolation or Pirates sound really good. It would also be good if we got a season set in the future for a change..

Too large-scale. AHS rarely has huge things in it. They can't even produce a visual car crash. It's always set-based. It's not on the production.

Yeah that's a really good idea. I think there would be a lot of similarities with Asylum though if they were to do that...which probably isn't a bad thing.

Watching through Coven again there were so many subtle references in the dialogue to "Freaks", "Freakshow", "Crazy circus", so you could be right. I like how each season revolves around a particular location.

I'm still convinced that the Top Hat clue wasn't a clue to the plot, but a clue towards the location of Season 5. I've said this before, but what's the most symbolic thing we think of when we see a top hat? Abraham Lincoln for most people.

Lincoln grew up in Illinois, and I've already brought up how many times Illinois was mentioned this season.

I think it's just the most likely thing at this point. Along with New York and Kansas, which have both been mentioned numerous times so far.
