I get the point, but views dont really work like that. They are very unpredictable!

Every once and a while, a flop song can reach 100 million views (Work Bitch for example), or several hundred million (Can't Remember to Forget You). But for the most part, the videos with 100 million plus views were/are hit songs. If Blank Space is at 200 million and the song is already decreasing, it's obviously not gonna reach 800 million. Taylor is a big artist though so her fan base is big enough to get it much higher even once the song is over but it's not coming for LTWYL lbr.

No, but it will easily pass CRTFY.
Also, that random Eminem song being over Toxic, Hero, Womanizer, We Made You, etc.
Wow @ "When I Grow Up" being such a smash, too

Yep, this.
Even terrible videos get 100's of millions of views if the song hits #1.

Like i said, views dont work like that. You are right in the part that views decrease as the song gets less airplay / chart points, but they tend to have much more longevity than you think they do. Here go a few examples:

Wake Me Up! and Dark Horse were also bigger worldwide hits than BS. Vevo/youtube doesn't just track US plays, which is why songs like CRTFY have huge views. Also, Katy videos always have enormous views like Roar, Dark Horse, Firework while Taylor doesn't. Thats why I'm calling 400-500k for BS which is still very impressive.

I was about to have a meltdown thinking you were referring to "Without You", but I realized you were talking about "Space Bound" then. Agreed

What im trying to say, is that videos way past their prime manage to have stability, because views dont work like the charts. That is the part people here are failing to acknowledge

Yes, you're right that views are more stable than sales and airplay, which is why songs chart much longer since streaming was added into the formula. But views are much higher when a song is a hit than afterwards

That is true. Once the song starts decreasing, views to down. But not that much either!
