I'm talking about an I Will Always Love You, My Heart Will Go On, All I Want for Christmas is You sized hit. Or even a Poker Face/Roar/WFL sized hit.....

Wait, why wouldn't you count DC? Was she not a member? wtf
And check UAC. CIL, Single Ladies and Halo all charted in the year end top 10 ww chart for their prospective years, ahead of people like Rihanna and Katy. IWALY type of successes are extremely rare + All I want For Christmas didn't go #1 in any country.

Hive, it's pointless to argue with Idkher and TrentW. Shading Beyoncé is the reason they joined this forum, not their love for music.

Your move.

Those "IFPI" receipts aren't actually from the IFPI, they're numbers a stan put together from several different "sources" including an IFPI year end list from 2009 which stated SL sold 6 million. Halo did not make any IFPI list so that's a lie.
There's a difference between having a 15 year career and including sales from 2 different acts together. Like I would say Justin Timberlake has had a 17 year career but it doesn't make sense to include NSYNC sales with his own sales because they are two completely different acts. Sorry that's just the way it is! Ask Billboard!

It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. They're just mad that Beyonce is still bigger and more relevant than their faves without the so called "global hits" they think are just oh so important.

You can't count 2 acts into 1, is not fair, with that logic Justin would pass almost every single solo act minus Michael and Elvis, it doesn't work like that, so I agree with this

Shes worshipped as if shes a god and hailed by the media on the daily and beyonce fans still reach to whine about some small minority of people that dare to say something negative about her. like stfu.

Oh sure, let's ask Billboard: http://www.billboard.com/articles/li...billboard-hits
And the last paragraph could be the stupidest thing ever written. There's no difference between the two especially not when for part of that fifteen year career they were in a group and sold records based on their involvement in the group which therefore it is part of their career. Either you account for DC, which is part of her CAREER, or you leave that 15 year career BS alone. Your pick. (You'll lose either way)

But I thought the hive didn't use that chart Rihanna didn't release a single in 2009 until late October and Hot N Cold had its chart run split in between 2008 and 2009... nice way to spin that in Beyonce's favor though. Also SL was not top 10 for any year, it was at #30 for 2009.
AIWFCIY has sold 14 million copies and goes top 25 in every major music market every year, it is arguably the biggest female hit of all time. And actually it has gone #1 in Italy, Belgium, China and South Korea.

Having global hits it not what makes someone huge and recognized. Flo Rida and Kesha both have huge single success yet they still remain D-listers...
Classic/quality songs, respect, and star quality is what resonates with the public, not chart positions. Hence why Beyonce has already accomplished all of this which is what she is able to outsell ad outgross her peers even if she doesn't have a hit song out.

Beyonce doesn't have any global smash, stop the madness.
Halo is her only mini-global smash.
Crazy In Love and Single Ladies are her only smashes but they lacked universal appeal.

She's shaded for being more of a celebrity than an artist these days. That's why. All of the pop girls are celebs, but they still put their work as artists before their celebrity status. The same can't be said for Bey, hanging out with the likes of Kim K and whatnot.

Any mainstream artist is a celebrity, even Ellie Goulding is considered one now.

The GP around the world doesn't know that
They just know the name of the song and the singer, if it was big or not, that's it.
Respect is only viewed from stans and the music industry, outside no one cares if you can't score a hit.

What on earth is Irreplaceable, Baby Boy, and Check On it? They all went no. 1. And ATRL logic tells me that's what a smash is no?

Because it's a no-substance drag. Britney used to get "dragged" for it, Madonna used to get "dragged" for it, Michael Jackson used to get "dragged" for it, etc. Every legend faces it at some point because they see their career and life become a cultural staple.

So albums, performances, talent, artistry mean nothing? You're ignorant just outright delusional.
