Fellow hip-hop star and friend of Chris Brown, T.I., said the 19-year-old is “cool,” following Brown’s arrest in Los Angeles on Sunday, on suspicion of felony criminal threats.
In an interview with Carson Daly for “Last Call,” the Atlanta-based rapper said he spoke to the “Run It” hitmaker on Monday.
“Yeah, I spoke to him today,” T.I. confirmed to Carson. “He cool, you know. I guess he a little concerned about the situation, but he’s still the same Chris.”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Brown was arrested on Sunday night over an alleged domestic violence incident, which reportedly involved Rihanna. He was released on $50,000 bond, also on Sunday.
T.I., who is set to serve around a year in jail beginning next month after pleading guilty to federal weapons charges, told Carson that he offered Brown advice during their chat on Monday.
“I told him this too shall pass,” T.I. said.
T.I. maintained that he is unaware of what exactly happened during the Sunday incident, which authorities have said occurred just after midnight in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles. However, T.I. said people should refrain from judging Brown.
“Hey man, you people gotta remember, we celebrities and we entertainers but we still human. All of us,” T.I. said.
“Don’t expect us not to make mistakes ‘cause we will.”

I mean, i'm all for everybody makes mistakes & nobody is perfect etc etc but it sounds like he's almost justifying what he did because "everybody makes mistakes".
WTF? Describing someone accused of beating a woman to a bloody mess as "cool".
If this is anything to go by it looks like a lot of people in the industry are going to rally behind Chris.:dickhead:
Well theres another video with Ashanti & Jesse McCartney supporting her but i mean, this is just what i thought would happen. The rap/hip hop industry MEN are gonna support him while everybody else will probably be more supportive of her but then remember most of the producers she works with are in the hip hop industry...
"After the alleged incident the phones exploded," said evening personality Java Joel. "It's all that people wanted to talk about. They were outraged at this alleged behavior and wondered why we were continuing to support his music. I agreed and immediately pulled all Chris Brown songs from my show until this thing shakes out in the legal system."
"His listeners have strong feelings about these unfortunate events, and he made the decision to take the Chris Brown songs off the radio while he is on the air. I then made the decision to rid the whole station of Chris Brown songs while this plays out," said Program Director Bo Matthews.

T.I. didn't abuse a woman, Chris did. --Oh look, Chris Brown won't be making music for at least a year.
