If you think this was the year television outpaced the movies, you're watching the wrong movies.
The best film of 2014 – a future-proofed classic to be stacked alongside the best of Tarkovsky, Buńuel and Kubrick – pulled up on a quiet weekend in March, as innocuously as a white Transit van, popped open its passenger door and beckoned us inside.
Jonathan Glazer’s Under the Skin is a film about a man-eating alien life form, played by femme-fatale Scarlett Johansson, that makes our own world look extraterrestrial.
In a year in which the representation of women in film has also been a matter of constant debate, Under the Skin’s inscrutable, anti-sexual lead performance and sustained and terrifying ogling of its male characters as meat gave cinemagoers of all sexes and persuasions plenty to chew on.
I knew it would become a future cult classic but I didn't expect it to start so soon
So The Telegraph, The Guardian, Slant Magazine, Indiewire, AV Club...all these pretentious publications calling it the best film of the year Scarlett using her big boobs and small talent to do good.
“David’s a loon, talented but geez once I saw him bring Sally Field to a party and reduce her to tears,” said De Luca. “Plus remember when he got in trouble for feeling up his transgender nieces [sic] boobs?”

The Chicago Tribune reported that, “For his part, Russell confirms that the incident happened, but told police that Peloquin was ‘acting very provocative toward him’ and invited him to feel her breasts. He also admitted to being ‘curious about the breast enhancement.’”
I just.....lmfao
This Sony leak is really something.
