each album has its perk. none of the three are perfect, but she's just so fantastic. her acoustic performances/versions >>>>>>>

EDIT: ALSO i hate when people say she's a label puppet or that she is controlled. i think she is doing EXACTLY what she wants to be doing at this stage in her career, and she is very much in control of her career, i truly believe.

Eh, my knowledge comes from a conversation in September, and it's an Instagram like you're making a big deal out of to discredit me. I remain unphased. Trust me or don't, but she's moved on in the present. She also knows what she's doing when she likes his post. It's akin to "hey, remember me, the best thing that ever happened to you?"

If that's not the case, which I highly doubt, you never really fall out of love with the happy memories you share with an ex, even if you do hate them. She also tweeted not so long ago about how she loves meeting people so smart they short circuit during their conversation, which is Russell to a tee.

"Dark Horse" is about the music industry with a typical Katy guise, just less obvious than usual.

"By The Grace of God" is her only great post-Russell inspired track, sans those backup vocals.

I don't get why a few posters don't like Sarah. I still have no idea what the words are for "Beg For It" (or "Get On Your Knees" in its current incarnation), but that melody has the same effect as the one on "Dark Horse," specifically the "magic" part. It's not in your face at all, but it's really kind of majestic, for lack of a better word. A few people complain about "Dark Horse" not having a chorus because they're all for anthemic choruses, but I think the hook worked so well on "Dark Horse" because it's just as effective and its subtlety gives it a much longer shelf life.
