I cant keep living with 3 years between each album though
But TD lasted 1.5 years and then it had a re-release.
We'll probably get K4 either in fall 2015 or winter 2016 if she doesn't release something new at the SB though.
She's into her 30's now and her last two singles flopped - one had really decent airplay as well. Worryingly, the two biggest stations in the US didn't pick either up. They're gonna be reluctant to play her next single as well, even if it's a lead.
I say she has one more "big" era before she becomes Kelly Clarkson-lite.

That's not a bad thing considering Kelly is one of the few artists ever with #1's over 10 years apart.
I hate how all the Kats say she's over because she only had 2 5 million sellers this era
You do realize Katy is the ONLY person that ever does better than that? Rihanna, Taylor, and Beyonce never have more than 2 big hits per era since last decade except Rih Loud era

Katy is one of those artists that has real longevity. Dark Horse (and WUIV a while back) just shows that a few missteps don't really do anything to her career, even within an era.
Plus, she was the NUMBER ONE streaming AND radio artist this year with only 1 hit. That really means something.
