Long after most of us had stopped thinking about Hoku, she recorded this propulsive guitar-pop jam for Legally Blonde. Playing over the movie’s opening scene, its perky optimism fit the character of Elle Woods perfectly. Though not a hit in its own right, the film’s enduring appeal has kept “Perfect Day” alive, turning it into Hoku’s signature song. It was headed for a second-place finish in this rate before Ace turned in his ballot.
Best bit: “People say/They say that’s just a phase/They tell me to act my age/Well, I am!”
The music video... co-stars Reese Witherspoon's chin, still low-wattage enough that you could corral her to serve as backup for a one-hit wonder.
How can anyone "not use" Hoku? Were they born without souls? Are they incapable of feeling the sheer bliss that emanates from every vibration from her vocal cords?

Perfect Day's chorus is one of my favorites ever.
EDIT: Ace and I are going to have a to have private discussion about this. A rag of chloroform may or may not be involved.
