Ddddddd steer CLEAR from any Sonic games on Wii U. Sonic Lost World is 'meh' at best and Sonic Boom is one of the biggest disasters in Sonic history. The game is riddled with bugs and glitches. You can jump forever if you pause the game after each jump

33 on Metacritic, worse than Sonic '06.
It's hard to pick over 3DS and Wii U. I've always been a fan of home consoles and playing on the big screen, but 3DS has some stellar games. What kind of games are you interested in? A way I look at is since 3DS is slightly older, Wii U has a lot of sequels to games on that platform and improved on them. Mario Kart 8 (Wii U) is >>>>>> Mario Kart 7 (3DS), Super Mario 3D World (Wii U) is >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Super Mario 3D Land (3DS).
They each have great exclusives though. Kid Icarus: Uprising, Kingdom Hearts 3D, Luigi's Mansion 2, Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (and N64 Zelda remakes), and more all for 3DS.
Pikmin 3, Lego City Undercover, Bayonetta 2, Zelda Wind Waker HD(new open world Zelda comes out next year!!), Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Captain Toad plus sooooo many exclusive games coming next year in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Yoshi's Wooly World, StarFox, Splatoon, and more.
But I would never rank the Amiibos over DLC/other Nintendo games.
Happy I dropped dem coins for the Wii U last week though
