^ agreed with everyone about the lyrical content. 
something that mixes HER experience with what is going on in the world. like introspective-social-criticism... gone to california is IMO the best example here. she talks about her experience, her dreams and how corrupt philly is, so much that she wants to go away, in hopes that somewhere else is better--but it's really sarcastically hinted at that "somewhere better" might end up or is just as corrupt. and musically it's a ****ing highlight. she could release it now and it still would feel incredibly fresh and different and left-field. 
i think this approach (embedding herself into the situation through her experiences or dreams) is much better than just pointing out how ****ed up everything is. it would sound like sermonizing rather than an emotional journey. 
BUT, i do it again... i don't want to talk much about a new record cause i really don't wanna be disappointed again when she releases TTAL#2
