Oh really, not coming through on your own album tease isn't being a disappointment? Not putting in the effort to make a music video about the most music video-able song ever? Not taking one for the team and performing in bigger venues so more of your fans can finally see you live? Not showing up, time and time again? Falling into some delusional craze about your privacy to the point where you now cut off your fans from not only trivial but pleasant "conversation", but important information about your career altogether? Not showing interest in the fact that time for your album is now (or rather, tbh, a year ago) if you want it to be remotely successful? Okay then...

Ichi already said most of it, but could you imagine if she started talking about the album when she first started working on it? That was over a year and a half ago.
She likely hasn't talked about it because she changes her mind a lot and anything she would say would just be a headline tomorrow. It would be too much overhype. This isn't just another album she's working on. It's the follow up to the biggest album in recent memory. She has to be careful.
And the album probably was due for release this year but she wanted to work on it more and probably just figured it was smarter to wait until next year when everything starts over. The album has to be perfect, it has to be as good as 21. When an artist has a massive album, the follow up usually underperforms because the material isn't as good. It either sounds like a lesser version of the previous album or it's weak material. She likely knows this and that's why she's making sure it's incredible. Do we really want a rushed album? I'd rather have another album I can listen to for years, than something that's good but nothing special, that I forget about a year later.
Doing arena dates early on in your career is a bad move a lot of the times anyways. You don't really connect with an audience of 20,000 people the way you do with a smaller crowd. Her bond with smaller audiences will do more for her in the end. Arena and stadium tours used to be a thing for artists after they were already well established. It's not that wise to do them so early on in your career, especially if you're the kind of artist Adele is. Adele doesn't make the kind of pop music the others make. It's personal music that's meant to connect with the audience. It's hard to do that in a crowd of 20,000 people while you're singing ballads. She doesn't make arena/stadium friendly music. Stadiums and arenas are for music you can move to, etc.
Thank god she doesn't show up everywhere. There's nothing more annoying than celebs who show up to every event (**cough** Taylor Swift). It feels a lot more special when she shows up somewhere because it's rare. And why would she go to these events anyways?
I have no problem with her separating her career and her personal life. Put yourself in her shoes. Would you want your name in the press everyday? Would you want people knowing your personal information? It's not like she knew her career was going to blow up the way it did.
