Well I think if you had an appreciation for the books, it's nice to see how they can come to life with a movie series adaption.

And I read the first book and it was okay. The style was so simple and the plot was recycled from other dystopian novels. It wasn't that bad though.

It's okay I feel you. The plot isn't crazy original and the books are 8th grade reading level so it's really not something out of this world. I just thought the overall concept (political uprising, government control, heroism...) was very interesting and I love Jennifer Lawrence.
