The melancholy atmosphere that's present in this version is absolutely priceless. I adore the studio version as well, but it's really missing that element that makes this version so timeless and special.
She's never captured that atmosphere in any other performance of Gypsy either. She must've been depressed as **** here, it's around the time Troy was leaving ha and she was actually "alone".

Like most here I also prefer the Kelly version compared to the Christina one. But I still would have loved to see a video for both versions.
This is an interesting tweet. She's always considered herself a "rock star" so maybe her "rock music" won't be all that different. Besides, rock music is as much about attitude as it is music.
