Ok if you dont need it, then dont steal it. If you can live without it so easily like you say, then stop hurting people who have spent and put money into MAKING IT!

And the fact that you're balking at having to pay a dollar a song is laughable. $.30 a song? get real! A beverage at a fast food restauarant or an individual cigarette costs more than that and those are disposable items. Why do you make such a crusade against doing the right thing? Even though you are not buying music, you are still obtaining it without compensating the person that created it.

Lets have a math lesson:
$1 per song x 20,000 songs (assuming a large iPod)= $20,000
Yeah I am balking at $1 a song.
So what if it is illegal. I made my point that we wouldn't buy it anyway. It is also illegal to double park on the streets, yet thousands of people do it every day just here in NYC and only a select few get tickets. Those people didn't obtain permission from the city to double park nor did they compensate the city for doing so.

Seriously, how long does it take you to reach $20,000 worth of songs? Probably 50+ years. And anyways you keep dodging my point. Just because you can get away with something doesn't mean you should do it.

Uhm, music costs to make so they need money back. End of story. Why cant you GET THAT. Do you honestly think if no one bought music anymore their would be more? Its the people who realize what you guys are doing to the music industry that are keeping it alive. If we just didnt care anymore their would be no more music. And $20,000 for 20,000 songs? Ok if you want 20K songs thats your problem. No one told you to spend $20K on music. And if everyone started buying music, album prices would go down withouta doubt. The reason music is o expensive because of such low sales. iPods range from $49 [iPod Shuffle] to $249 [iPod Classic]. These are CRAZY expensive, doesnt mean you can go out and STEAL THEM!

Guys...if everyone, EVERYONE, followed the rules in life, it would be a perfect world, which is IMPOSSIBLE.
It's nearly impossible to live in a world of just perfection. The facts of life is, you need a balance of both good and bad.
A lot of people DO buy music, look at iTunes sales, but yet, a lot don't. It's part of God's nature. Just like with every other law out there. It's like working at a Fast Food restaurant. Who is going to stop you from stealing a piece of chicken here and there? Or a fry?
Some of you people need to LAY off. I used to buy every album back when I lived with my mom, but now that I'm out on my own, I am buying only albums worth buying by my fav. artists. It's not like I don't buy albums anymore, I do, but only ones worth buying (like Circus).
Some of you people act like we should live in a perfect world, when common sense, we aren't. Just turn on the news. Would you rather hear tons of stories on illegal downloading or about a rapist criminal who just escaped prison and is near your town?
Chill out.

This is not me, but I know personally someone who got around 10,000 songs in less than week and filled up his 40,000 song iPod in 6 months.
Trust me, if everyone knew they could get away with stealing iPods, they would do it as well. I will probably be one of those people assuming I knew there was a 100% chance of not getting caught. You would be lying if you said you wouldn't at least think about it too.

But an ipod doesn't have 49-249 songs so you can't use ipods as a point. There are more other mp3s players than that.

And logically, .99 cents is WAY to expensive.
An average album costs around let's say 12 bucks at the most? And yet, the album can range from 12 to 20 tracks. Plus you get the whole packaging. So...
.99 cents per song is over priced. I'm with Yankee. Doesn't it cost money to make the packaging and the artwork? Yet it's logically less than .99 cents per song when you buy the physical album vs. buying one song on iTunes for .99 cents with no artwork or packaging.

So you can honestly tell me that if it was impossible to download music, you woldn't buy it? I highly doubt that. Who gives a **** if the music industry is paying your bills?! Your a selfish asshole! You only think about your ****ing Beyonce and yourself! People benefit when we buy music like EVERYTHING ELSE! I dont know what your job is but lets say you worked at Target. Me and millions of people just go in Target just go in and steal stuff because you dont pay my bills so why should I bother buying stuff. Then your Target is loosing a lot of money and is about to go bankrupt. So your boss fires you because he cant afford to hire you anymore. Now you have no job and on top of that the economy SUCKS! Your bills are piling up and the mortgage company is down your back. A couple months later you still cant find a job and guess what .. YOU LOST YOUR HOUSE. Do you honest to God think that this is far. We all know the answer, ITS ****ING ON FAIR AND SUCKS. And you and a lot of other people are doing this to thousands of people every year. And honestly, I dont see how you sleep at night. So now STFU cause I am done talking with a bigotted person like you. You can reply all you want but I am done talking about this with you.

Thank you. There is no cost for packaging when downloading from iTunes. Therefore there should be a significant drop in cost. For example, e-music (which mostly consists of artists from independent labels) sell their music for download at about $0.30, which is where I got my price point from. Therefore, if artists who are not rich can survive fairly nicely on $0.30 per download so can Britney Spears.

Thats besides the point, I am talking about prices .. I wasn't talking about songs. it only takes like 70-50 $ to make a iPod yet they charge you in the triple digits! Doesnt justify to go out and steal it.

I agree, electronic legal downloading is over priced. But still, doesnt justify to g out and steal it. My uncle's BMW is WAYYYYYYYYYY over priced, but it doesnt mean I can go out and steal one.
