Oh, for the love of god, shut the **** up already! Did you really need to spread this to another thread? Really? It's part of the SAME GOD DAMN ARGUMENT. Seriously.
Um, yes, downloading for free is illegal. WE KNOW. Some of us just don't have the money to be able to spend on buying music, especially with the recession going on in this country. If I had a choice between buying music and, um, being able to live under a roof, then I'm going to prefer having a roof over my head. Why is that so hard to understand?

There's no need for f*cking swearing, right?
BTW. Close this thread.
It's not fun anymore...

When times are hard on money, you're supposed to go without, cut out the luxuries and focus on the necessities. Music is not a necessity, and you are not owed it. Stealing is not the answer because then someone else bears that burden of expense. So your logic then justifies looting? Where do you draw the line? It's this selfish code of ethics that's got our country in a recession right now. I'm not saying the music industry doesn't deserve some of the blame, but I don't understand your logic at all. In the 90's, if we were going through a recession, it never would have occurred to you to walk into a CD store and steal CDs because you knew you'd most likely get caught, but with the advent of the internet suddenly now you feel it's okay because it's almost guaranteed you'll get away with it. That really says a lot about your integrity. Character is who you are when no one's looking, remember.

What is the difference between stealing and not buying music anyway? Either way, you are not buying CD's. So your logic doesn't really work.

Okay, now you're just splitting hairs. You're doing somethng illegal and you're aware that it's wrong, if you don't want to buy music in a physical format, you should buy it in a digital format. And the fact that you're balking at having to pay a dollar a song is laughable. $.30 a song? get real! A beverage at a fast food restauarant or an individual cigarette costs more than that and those are disposable items. Why do you make such a crusade against doing the right thing? Even though you are not buying music, you are still obtaining it without compensating the person that created it.

Actually it isnt the same thing, the other thread was ABOUT how you get music, people just only talked about the one way [pirating], not my problem. This is NEWS in the music world which is why I posted this article in the MUSIC NEWS FORUM! Get it?
&&
Music isnt a RIGHT, you have to buy it. If you dont have enough money you can't have it! A lot of people can't afford a brand new car, doesnt mean you can go out and STEAL IT! A lot of times I go out and I am just buying one thing like milk and I want gum but I just dont have enough change on me, so I don't buy the gum. I don't steal it just because I dont have enough money and I would rather have milk in my fridge. Its common sense. Stealing=ILLEGAL

So you are saying that if it was impossible to pirate music, then you would not ever buy music? Highly doubt it. People would get over the fact that they gotta pay for music [like everything else in the world] and buy it.

People who intentionally break the law and continue on doing it isn't a fun topic.

Everyone doesn't buy music...I don't think any of my friends ever bought music...They are so use to the idea of music being free.
I just feel people know if they are going to purchase any album or download it...U can't make somebody buy something...Like u said before people DON'T NEED MUSIC!!!!

FAIL.

I fail? Honey it's very sad how people like you go out of your way to quote someone and go through their whole comment and get every single spelling error. If I wanted a English lesson, I would be on a English Forum.
