Adele DRAGS 1D and Bob Geldof
Quote:
"I don’t want to be told how to behave philanthropically by a man worth an estimated £32 million, a man who is said to use tax avoidance schemes... I don’t want to be implored to give charitably by a band that travels in separate private jets because they don’t get on (One Direction), or by a man who avoids Irish taxes while simultaneously telling the Irish government to help developing countries (Bono)"

Yeah, those weren't her comments though someone on twitter said they were at first.
But the journalist didn't lie.
Plus they got through to her management but she didn't want to do it (and thank god she didn't).
However, those probably are her views about the whole thing though. The fact she didn't do it says a lot since her boyfriend runs a non-profit charity organization that gives clean water to African communities.

I'm glad. Band Aid is just the rich guilt-tripping the general public into giving, in an opportunistic karma-whoring move that simultaneously paints Africa as a continent-wide disease ridden poverty hellhole that can't help themselves.
The changing of the lyrics, the random line up, the Ebola bandwagon...
Not to mention, there already is a song for Ebola relief made by African artists, but who cares. We need a white British version. We don't care about charity unless it has celebrities in it. Or we can be narcissistic with it (Ice Bucket, No Make-Up etc.).

The article raises a good point. So many celebs, like Bono, are all out there putting on a face about saving the world when in reality it's just publicity for them.
I didn't know One Direction were using separate jets though. That's sad they're not friends anymore

Because that's literally the only way to get Americans and the British to donate. Calm your ****.
Adele's always been stuck-up and on a high horse so I wouldn't be surprised if she said this anyway. Bono's down more for the world than her overrated album ever did.

Except Bono has been campaigning for causes since the beginning of his career before it was even popular to do so, and has aided in more charities and helped more people than everyone in this thread + Adele combined. Wisen up.
