I don't think that's how it works.
Based on itunescharts.net, the day Midnight Memories came out the songs were at:
4, 9, 13, 16, 18, 24, 33, 36, 37, 42 for the top half.
Then the next day everything fell double digits except the actual single Story of My Life.
