Outside of the weird exception like Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" or Bon Jovi's "Livin on a Prayer," there aren't really any songs that are still burning up the charts more than a DECADE after they first smashed.
You're trying to compare songs released in two ENTIRELY different markets in ENTIRELY different musical eras. It's not possible!
They are both massively successful artists. Can we leave it at that? Why do they have to be pitted against each other? I regret ever taking a side on this issue, because trying to determine a "winner" is sad. Respect the success of each artist, enjoy them each to the extent you want, and continue on with your lives.
