G.U.Y. flopped because very few people can relate to it. The lyrics are hard to understand unless you really follow Gaga or look into it yourself... which most listeners aren't going to do on their own time.

One last thing though. Seeing how Zedd enjoyed some radio success with his two singles Clarity and Stay the Night not long before ARTPOP was released, I would have titled it G.U.Y. (ft. Zedd) on the tracklist, if only so there might be a better chance of radio playing it should it become a single, which, lo and behold, it did. This technique (arguably) worked for Ariana Grande with Break Free (ft. Zedd ).

Do you not think G.U.Y. is a bop too? I know you can't really compare the two, but it's just an example I deemed relevant to the discussion.
G.U.Y. is top 2 from ARTPOP so obviously it's an bop sis.
