Ex-girlfriend: Este es uno de mis videos favoritos de No Doubt, fue dirigido por Hype Williams y muestra a la banda en su faceta más alternativa. Fue el primer sencillo de su álbum "Return of saturn" lanzado a principios de 2000. El álbum en general se basa en los deseos de Gwen Stefani de tener estabilidad en una relación, casarse y tener una familia.

La historia de la canción radica en la relación de Gwen Stefani con su actual esposo Gavin Rossdale, que empezaron a salir desde que se conocieron en 1995. La línea "You say you're gonna burn before you mellow" hace referencia a la canción de Bush "Dead meat" que dice: "I'm doing you in tomorrow, I'll burn before I mellow".

El video toma su imagen del ****** japonés "Kite", se puede observar en ciertos detalles como los colores y la imagen de la ciudad. En el video vemos a Gwen Stefani queriendo espiar a su ex-novio (cuyo papel hace el bajista de la banda, Tony Kanal). Luego de preguntar a otros personajes, se disfraza y logra localizarlo en el baño de un edificio. Al final Kanal y ella se lanzan por la ventana, muchos recordarán esto. Aquí se los dejo
