Mini Review: Wowwww I was definitely not prepared for this. I was expecting a great album after I heard the three singles (which are the first three tracks), but wasn't ready for it to be THIS good. Nick really steps up as a solo artist and brings out some amazing material. Nearly every track has its own life added to it and there's plenty of variety. There's some darker tracks like
Chains, but you have funkier songs such as
Jealous and
Teacher, then you add in a little trap from
Numb, a bit of OneRepublic-esque instrumental from
Wilderness, and then some more slowed down stuff near the end. It really forms itself into an amazing release that I was extremely impressed by. This definitely blows Joe's debut album out of the water, as well as his own with The Administration. I also love that he got more explicit on this, throwing out the words "****" in
Push as well as "****ing" in
I Want You (and in the
Jealous remix, too.) It shows that he's separating himself from Disney and becoming a new person, and trust me, it's for the better. There's also 2 new songs left on the yet-to-leak deluxe edition, so I'll be waiting for those.
