Rihanna is the only pop girl who worked hard to get where she is. She's also the only pop girl truly in charge of her image/persona. She's the most authentic pop girl.

Beyonce is a calebrity and doesn't really have a music career. I agree with you though, Beyonce is one of the most hardest working celebrity (after J.Lo and Kim K).
