So basically Britney Peaked in her 2nd era, while Taylor is on her fifth and STILL growing.
* also all of you dragging taylor when your fav can't sell even 500k in the long run, I can't. I'm dead

Well I don't think that's as much of a fair comparison what with the aforementioned 300% market decline.
I know Taylor's albums always make top 3 on the year-end charts, let me do some math comparisons to see how many times Britney has done that.

Rapid as in over a decade later? OK!

Thank you for your honesty. The only reason I was snarky was because Swifties was acting like they didn't have their hopes up and were completely unbothered that didn't break Britney's record. Its not really a big deal but it just made me feel some type of way.

Comparing Taylor and Britney's most recent effort makes more sense than the Britney stans comparing it to a 14 year old album, IMO.

BOMT: #1, 14x plat, 30 M WW
OIDIA: #1, 10x plat, 24 M WW
Britney: #1, 4x plat, 15 M WW
ITZ: #1, 2x plat, 10M WW
Blackout: #2, 1x plat, 3M WW
Circus: #1, 1x plat, 4M WW
Femme Fatale: #1, 1x plat, 1M WW
BJ: #4, not even 1M WW
BOMT: #1, 1x plat
YDMC: #10, not plat
OIDIA: #9, not plat
Toxic: #9, gold
GM: #3, 1x plat
Womanizer: #1, not plat
Circus: #3, not plat
3: #1, not plat
HIAM: #1, not plat
TTWE: #3, not plat
IWG: #7, not plat
S&M: #1, 3x plat
S&S: #3, 3x plat
So in other words, Britney slayed the albums but always DECLINED. She peaked with her first damn album and was on constant decline from there. Her singles weren't successful in the US sales-wise and were very short-lived except for her collaboration with Rihanna and her collaboration with will.i.am. Most of her T10s didn't even hit 1x platinum.
TAYLOR on the other hand...
TS: #5, 5x plat, 6M WW
Fearless: #1, 6x plat, 9M WW
SN: #1, 4x plat, 6M WW
Red: #1, 4x plat, 6M WW
1989: #1, 1x plat, 1M WW (after one week already as big as Britney's Femme Fatale)
Singles wise?
TM is plat (#40), TOMG is 3x plat (#13), OS is 4x plat (#16), PTB is 2x plat (#28), SSN is plat (#33), WH is 2x plat (#13), Fifteen is 2x plat (#23), Mean is 3x plat (#11), TSOU is plat (#41), SF is plat (#17), Ours is plat (#13), S&S is 2x plat (#30), EO is plat (#19), Ronan is gold (#16), 22 is 2x plat (#20), HDC is 2x plat (#22), EHC is plat (#32).
Change: #10, gold
Love Story: #4, 7x plat
YBWM: #2, 6x plat
Fearlesss: #9, plat
TWAF: #2, plat
Mine: #3, 3x plat
BTD: #6, 2x plat
WANEGBT: #1, 5x plat
BA: #7, plat
IKYWT: #2, 5x plat
Red: #6, plat
SIO: #1, 2x plat
I'm not even going to go into her features and promo singles
Obviously Taylor has had a WAY more successful career singles-wise and has maintained steady album sales into album 5 whereas Britney fell off on her third album and after that started seeing extremely sharp declines.
EDIT: Why was this reported?
I want to have an educated discussion on the sales of the two artists to see who is the bigger force. I'm providing stuff here which I believe furthers my point. I don't see myself breaking any rules here

Or just stop comparing? It's not even fair to compare with either albums?

Cmd + F + Taylor = 2 results
Cmd + ... never mind.
Also, 1989 just kicked BTW out of the top 10. She's coming for that third entry.

Considering how much you guys love using the whole market decline excuse, wouldn't it make sense that Britney's sales would decline as the market declined? You can't have it both ways. Not to mention Britney's image completely changed from Britney to In The Zone and she was still able to sell very well. Taylor's image has remained relatively consistent, so it makes sense that her fan base would remain stable.

Jesus Christ.
Just deal with it. Finding new ways to validate your choice is useless. Britney won this fight and she'll lose many.
