At least, this is what I get from your opinions

If you take a look at my personal survivors/countdowns you'll see that I listen to like 70% pop (if not more) and plenty of that comes from pop girls per se. The fact that I don't fall for the sassy generic kind of pop girls that come every year like Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea and Meghan Trainor (from this year for instance) is no coincidence. Their pop "music" is trash.

I actually have taken a look at your countdowns (especially if I'm trying to see if I want to get a new song that's kinda indie). You only have a few pop girls, but mainly, I feel like you call the majority of them "trash" because you feel that their music is generic when, most of the time, it isn't. For example, Ariana Grande has a song out called Love Me Harder, which you might not even like because the title's interesting, but its probably the best song she's ever released, in my opinion. Then, there's Iggy, who has a song called Work, which takes about her ascent into music, and it's really good. Finally, with Meghan, she's a pretty great artist in my opinion because she is unique (Lips Are Movin, her new song, is pretty good).

I mean, I disagree, but you're entitled to your opinion, even if it's wrong . Honestly, same with you, I feel like you hate on almost all pop girls for no reason, and I feel like you don't even listen to the songs that they have. It seems like you group a lot of these women into the category of "pop," and because of that, you don't like it

That's not a disaster if you like the song and I KNOW you do.
A disaster is when a terrible song wins, like Bailando or G.U.Y.

It's funny how you put music under quotations for Ariana and Meghan, because at least with them, they don't always rely on EDM autotune to carry a song.

Coldplay, like Muse, have been influenced by one of the most acclaimed bands of all time ~ Radiohead. That's why a lot of critics are hard on them and are hated by music fans. You can clearly hear Radiohead's sound in their early works, hence the non-originality factor. But despite that, I think Coldplay and Muse are decent compared to 2000s rock-noise bands (which are just rehashed Nirvana wannabes), and over time they have learnt to reinvent themselves. In an era where lifeless and tasteless machines are more present in music than heart & soul, it's refreshing to hear bands who still put out music that go against that.
As for the major current pop girls, if we put our tastes aside, Beyonce and Taylor are undeniably the most acclaimed. I think of modern day female pop artists as an escape to be free and have fun. You either take it or leave it, but discussing which is better is a time-wasting debate because they're all pretty much in the same boat. We often judge songs based on an artist's name instead of the song itself - but that's not what a music fan should do. For example, you can have a bad Michael Jackson song, but a good One Direction song. Never thought I'd say this, but you get the point

Most of the pop girls just want attention and they do ridiculous things just to reach a billboard position it is embarrasing. And no I always listen to the song first I'm not that kind of person.
I like Katy's "Firework" or "Teenage Dream" but "This Is How We Do" is awful. Gwen Stefani, Fergie, Carrie Underwood & Kelly Clarkson are other pop girls that I like.
Sometimes is only the song. For example "My Happy Ending" >>>>>>> "Hello Kitty" even Britney "Toxic" >>>>>>>> "Work B#tch"
I think 40% of my musical taste is pop.

I can see that for a couple of cases (like Miley, although I do think that Wrecking Ball is one of the best songs of last year, which is kinda controversial for some people), but I'm glad that you listen to the songs.
Also, I totally agree with you saying it's sometimes only the song, especially with the examples. You should listen to Love Me Harder by Ariana; it's really good

Crazy how you can insult ARTPOP but yet you think Katy's generic garbage is some sort of masterpiece. G.U.Y. >>>>>>>>> The embarrassment that is TIHWD. The lyrics alone make it worse than anything Gaga has ever done regardless of if you like ARTPOP or not.
