well it's possible. i think it will be pretty close.. so who knows.. hopefully not, but at least we know britney didn't need gimmicks or to give free meet and greets, concert tickets or 3409304 polaroids with her album because she knew fans would buy a billion copies. Britney also only had 6 days of sales instead of 7, and was at a disadvantage as less stores sold albums then and there was no digital option to buy. plus, Oops went diamond and sold over 22m(?) WW... Britney wins regardless of whether Taylor takes her record, lbr!

Yeah! Let's compare it to Blackout, like that album had any decent promotion and wasn't overshadowed by her breakdown!

Who cares??????? Blackout will be the album still referenced because of its impact. It will be the album that remains in the RNR hall of fame. 1989 will never. Blackout will remain a timeless, ageless masterpiece appreciated by its listeners. 1989 isn't influential or different. It will be just another album to add to Taylor's catalogue, Britney wins, again!
