And I wouldn't say Luke's team is "smart" tbh. I find them pretty pathetic, like they're running out so much of ideas that they have to bring some **** from the past.
As of now, there are just allegations, Kesha's claims + some actual facts, Luke's deny...but all I can say is that I find Luke's lawyer very unprofessional, I don't know but all these statements seem so childish to me...

I don't have a side in this, so I am simply marveling at what the unearthing of this evidence has done. It has, metaphorically, trapped Kesha in a corner, and has made her case look unwinnable, staving off other potential witnesses from appearing.
If this were not Kesha vs Luke, I would still say the same thing. This is legal strategy at its finest. Lawyers aren't saints, they are tacticians whose only goal is to win.

OMG is this from another lawsuit claiming abuse from Dr. Luke? Was Kesha used as a character witness for him? This is getting very interesting, clearly this isn't the first time Luke has been sued.

Don't stress, this evidence Luke has "Put forward" doesn't justify anything. There is still so much more to be proved before Kesha loses.

Too early to 'take a side,' but I will say that Luke's case is looking more solid from a legal standpoint. That being said, who knows what evidence Kesha's lawyer may have.

Ugh. This all makes Kesha look like a liar on the surface, but deep down it shows that Dr. Luke knew what he was doing the whole time.
Fuming!

it doesnt mean anything if he wins. rapists get off the hook all the time and it doesnt mean they're innocent

Yeah honestly I kind of wish none of this went public... I like both of their work, it's such a shame that it's come down to this. Really disappointed I'm so nervous for the outcome too.

Kesha shouldn't have lied under oath.
It only makes her case from a legal standpoint look flimsy.

We don't owe Luke no damn apology if he wins
Even if he did win, that doesn't mean that he isn't a rapist
The logic

She was 23 years old and hit with a $14 million dollar lawsuit months after getting a #1 song and album and becoming a superstar overnight... I would probably commit perjury too
From management that was suing her in 2011: “The judge denied all their motions, and now we’re going forward. We’re going to have our day in court,” he continued. “And we’re going to prove that Dr. Luke induced her to breach the contract. She had no right to do so, and we’re gonna get damages from her.”
If anything this helps prove others believed he had control over her...

No, honey. No. He's considered to be innocent by the US judicial system, but that doesn't mean he actually is innocent, and even an acquittal doesn't make him actually innocent beyond the judicial system if he committed the crimes. Let's make sure we all know that very well.

^^ If Kesha's lawyer argues that, it will just make her look like an opportunistic liar who lied so that she didn't have to pay her management what they were due. And she will get in trouble for perjury, which brings us back to the whole credibility thing. For a lot of people, once a liar...always...
------
If I were Kesha, I would settle this out of court. Drop the suit, so long as Luke drops his too, and they part ways.

The deposition was taken in connection with a $14 million lawsuit filed by Kesha's former New York-based management company DAS Communications.
The company claimed Kesha broke her contract when she dumped them in 2008 — and that Dr. Luke "induced, intimidated and convinced" her to cut ties with DAS.
Asked during the 2011 examination if Dr. Luke ever gave her cocaine or other illicit drugs, Kesha said he never fed her coke but that she wasn't sure about other substances.
"Did Dr. Luke ever give you a roofie?" a DAS lawyer asked Kesha.
"No," she replied.
"Did you ever tell your mother that you woke up in a hotel room in Gottwald's bed and you don't recall what happened that night?" the lawyer asked next.
"I don't remember," Kesha said.
The lawyer also asked about a flight that Kesha once took with Dr. Luke.
"If someone testified that you were making out with Gottwald on a cross-country trip with Gottwald, would that be a lie, on a plane?" the lawyer asked during the 2011 deposition.
"No," Kesha replied.
In her lawsuit filed last week, Kesha claimed Dr. Luke once "forced" her to snort an illicit drug before a flight and then "continuously forced himself" on her.
The singer said during the 2011 deposition that she had slept in the same bed with Dr. Luke but that they did not have an "intimate" relationship.
After the deposition was unsealed, Geragos said he made it clear in Kesha's new lawsuit that the singer had been threatened into submission.
The lawsuit claimed Dr. Luke took Kesha "down to the beach alone" to have a talk after the alleged rape and threatened that if she ever mentioned it to anyone, "he would shut her career down" and go after her family.
|
This proves Kesha's claims don't come from nowhere. Back in 2011, she was asked these questions. He was threatening her, so she lied to protect him. Nothing more. For me, it makes Kesha's lawuit even more credible tbh.

I feel for Kesha. She needs to prepare for Dr. Luke's lawyer to ****-shame her and pull every other tactic they have to make her look less than victim.

TikiMiss. It's so ****ing blatant that Kesha tried to settle this outside of court. You think she wanted it to blow up into this? NO logic.

The fact that she was asked these questions back in 2011, about these very specific incidents that she is now suing Luke for....it makes her case look more credible in a way. She was threatened to not say anything, and she was still terrified at that point.
