She has absolutely no proof and this just makes it worse that she lied under oath. Surely if something this serious was going on, that would have been the perfect time to say, "you know what this has been going on and it needs to stop now".

I don't see how people can make such concrete decisions and will take the "victim"'s side. Just because a victim claims something, doesn't make it true. Does this mean I should go claiming the people I hate sexually abused me so they get locked up without trial? No, that's why we have trials; so the evidence can be laid before a judge or jury. One person's words are worth no more than another person's words.

Obviously, if he is guilty, then it was a horrible thing to do and he should be locked up. But he remains innocent until proven guilty. People need to remember that. The jury, at the end of the day, will make the final decision. I'm sure they will make the right one according to the circumstances and evidence at the time of the ruling.

but in this case...Dr. Luke has been portrayed as shady many times before

But if she's telling the truth now, it means she did lie... 3 years ago.

The point is not about whether she's right or she's wrong. The point is that people are believing the victim on words alone. Does this mean innocent people should be thrown in jail because someone wants to get them locked up. Anyone can claim anyone else sexually abused them. It doesn't mean it happened.

I'm not saying Ke$ha is definitely doing this. I'm not saying Luke is innocent or guilty. But what ticks me off is that people are taking sides without ANY solid evidence. Just words by the two parties, not even a third party. He is innocent until proven guilty. Anything else would be utter madness.

Now it will be interesting to see if either of them calls the manager as a witness for their case.

There's always an exception to the rule, if someone was literally scared and threatened and led to believe their family was to be harmed they will most likely understand her situation, but it will be hard to prove and if she succeeds Luke will have an even bigger problem

I have another question, but this is only because I don't know the actual answer. I read somewhere that this is NOT a criminal case? Does that mean if Luke is found guilty, that he would not go to jail, and would only go to jail if he was also tried and found guilty in a Criminal Court, and the only thing awarded by the judge for this type of case would be to free her from the contract and monetary compensation? Or am I wrong? I don't live in the USA so I'm not really clear on this. Would someone help a sista out?

The law is, rightly, very tight and strict about perjury because it is the foundation of justice. There are very very very very few exceptions that I know of or that I have seen play out and actually winning the case for the defendant. It is the equivalent of evidence tampering.
