Britney's singles are so memorable, iconic that the GP isn't even willing to buy them now in 2014. The fact that Run the World is a stronger catalog seller than any Britney single says a lot.
Fact that Beyonce did 2 tours, being hyped since releasing of album etc... It would be embarrassing if her old songs aren't good catalog seller.
And Toxic is definitely better catalog seller than RTW.
Sometimes sales don't equal memorable/iconic.
Then we should say that, almost all those iconic hits from 2000's aren't good catalog sellers. Everything depends what are your fave doing right now.
I'm really disappointed with you sometimes, you are chart expert so u should have some knowledge about this stuff.
This makes no sense seeing that more people bought Brit's music as compared to Bey
idts. if she made good music people would buy her albums in the long term instead of her radio singles.
once people realized she not much to offer her albums sales plumeted. going from Diamond to half-Gold. I prefer Beyoncé consistency.
that's the best sign.

Because you think millions of people who bought ...Baby One More Time in 1998/9 still use it nowadays? Of course not, just a small percentage of them do. But the 3K people who are buying Crazy in Love this week in the U.S. will definitely use the song soon; that's way more than the 1K people who are buying ...Baby One More Time (song) this week.
3K > 1K

ATRL is full of Beyoncé haters. Anyway, Britney can have ATRL. Beyoncé remains unbothered with the real world.
World > ATRL

Beyoncé's catalog sales have ALWAYS been stronger than Britney. Nice try, though.
Run the World sells more than Toxic in the U.S. I know what I'm talking about. I wouldn't say it otherwise.
Britney must not even have 10 songs that sell over 1K in the U.S. while Bey must have over 30.

And then again ...Baby One More Time is her worst album to date.
Obviously sales don't equal quality. Her biggest problem for that plummeting is non promo, she doesn't care since FF and everyone needs to flop sometimes in career.

Consistency even though commendable doesn't guarantee a strong catalogue, in fact compared to the rest of the pop girls Bey has one of the weakest catalogues, I presume that was the reason for her combining songs from DC on her tours and performances such as the superbowl. In fact her stand out hits are basically just four, Crazy in Love, Halo, Single Ladies and Irreplaceable. In fact she hasn't has a hit worthy of a catalogue this decade sans telephone where she features and which she perfoms, look at Glastonbury.
Therefore Bey has a weak catalogue and compared to Britney she doesn't come near the strength of hits such as BOMT, OIDIA, TOXIC, gimme more, circus, stronger, I'm a Slave For You, Womanizer.
In all honesty Beyonce doesn't stand a chance.

This is YOUR opinion. The GP disagrees as Beyoncé has stronger catalog sales.
This makes no sense seeing that more people bought Brit's music as compared to Bey
And yet Billboard named Beyoncé their Female Artist of the Decade (2000-2009). And now Britney's sales are nowhere near Beyoncé's or what they used to be. While Beyoncé is selling the most albums for a female for the year to this day.
Y'all can TRY to downplay and undermine Beyoncé all you want. The real world knows the truth.

There is not an ounce of fact in this whole little rant you went on. Purely opinions. And ones that have been proven false many a times.

Let's not pretend that people don't remember BOMT, it was an event, a symbolic one in fact changing the then music direction from more urban songs dominating, reintroducing bubblegum pop into the industry.
And it's truly laughable that you would compare a song released in 2011 when songs were doing 10M plus worldwide to an era where single sales were nothing less than pathetic.
One more night sold loads more than Crazy in Love and it doesn't make it the stronger hit.
And yet Billboard named Beyoncé their Female Artist of the Decade of the 2000's. And now Britney's sales are nowhere near Beyoncé's or what they used to be. While Beyoncé is selling the most albums for a female for the year to this day.

First of all, one of the biggest reasons why Britney couldn't be 'Female Artist of the Decade':
- She was banned from radio during 'Britney' era + Me Against The Music
- Radio completely ignored Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know, 'Blackout' era
- Only physical releases that Britney released in US during 2000's are: Oops!...I Did It Again (Only 60k/limited edition), Stronger, Me Against The Music.
- Rest was completely limited to few thousands of copies
Is that enough?
And again US is just part of the world. We know who is 'Best selling female artist of the decade WW'.
Let's not pretend that people don't remember BOMT, it was an event, a symbolic one in fact changing the then music direction from more urban songs dominating, reintroducing bubblegum pop into the industry.

I'm not comparing their total sales. Crazy in Love, which is a 2003 song, is currently selling more than ...Baby One More Time because it's more memorable. That's all. FYI, the song also has more audio and video streams. It's truly more memorable to the GP.

Yet Britney has actually SOLD more, considering her first two albums have outsold Bey's discography.
The statement put was that people, the buyers in his words, preferred Bey while Brit has 2 Diamond albums and how many does bey have?
Bey hasn't even sold an album 10M WW let alone In the U.S. alone.
Britney has the stronger catalogue.
