I became a fan in 2005. Stan in 2007. But I come from a Mariah family so..... I was a fan before I knew what a Mariah was.

First thing I anticipated was E=MC2. THAT was such a great era.

I started liking Mariah around 2002 and knew various songs but it wasn't until 2009 that I listened to one of her albums, the first of which was Memoirs, then from there it hasn't stopped. I remember MCIIY well, but MIAM is the first real era I've been here for.

My dad bought me Mariah's "Greatest Hits" (2001) CD as a joke because he caught me looking at it out of curiosity in the store nnn. And thanks to that I actually started to love her.

YAAAASSSS It is fun to see lots of young adults stanning for Mariah tbh. My teacher asked me why loved Mariah Carey so much today. She was like "Mariah Carey was the singer of my time. Why don't you stan for singers like Avril or Katy ?"

I've been a fan of Mariah since 1997/1998 from thinking she was hot in Honey, then getting the My All/Breakdown single and Butterfly. I was like 5 or 6 then. After that I didn't really pay attention to her again. I saw "Glitter" in stores and wanted to buy it. Then TEOM happened and I liked the singles. I didn't really start stanning until 2007 when I heard "Emotions" and found I could hit whistle notes then. Then I became obsessed and here we are. It's cool that you guys are so young and fans though.

Ive been listening to Mariah for 3 weeks non-stop already, I loved Touch My Body ever since it came out in 2008 but never cared about her. Until last month I listened to Ariana Grande's cover of Emotions and I gave her songs a listen. I was AMAZED by We Belong Together. I am still going through the singles, I will go with the album tracks later. But I Still Believe, Emotions, Honey and Butterfly are just heavenly. All ive done this month is watch her performances and see her videos and Im just stunned by everything she represents.

I knew Obsessed, We Belong Together, Shake It Off, Touch My Body, Say Somethin', Heartbreaker, Fantasy, and AIWFCIY + Oh Santa! () 'cause TeenNick would play it 24/7 since Nick Cannon ran the network or w/e.


But then when I came here, I listened to Butterfly and started listening to random songs from each album and it was a wrap by December 2012. I'd already knew I was a stan, bought 3 albums Christmas week, and had everything she did on repeat.


I also told myself I would be one of the most iconic lambs here, and look what happened.
