Little Machines is an interesting album - not pop but not alternative. It's definetely an interesting album - Up We Go is a bop on the world-ending level of incredible, Portal is absolutely mesmerising, and the mood is absolutely coherent throughout.

The only real problem I have with this album is that it sounds rather tinny. It sounds like one of those trashy garagey songs from the early 90s times 11. Don't get me wrong, the ultimate effect is pretty good, but it has moments where I want to buy a CD of it just so I can smash it.

Overall, pretty accessible and brilliantly unique, this is a great album, and only the pressed peasants can deny Lights ha slayage.

Could we maybe have 48 hours to finish up Little Machines?

I'd like to review it, but don't think I'll have the chance within the next day

Album reviews need to be at least 10 sentences.

She doesn't have the best voice but honestly, who cares? It's more than serviceable, and it fits the music perfectly. That's probably the best thing about the album - the production is kinda oddball and her voice is kinda grating, but together they function as much more than the sum of their parts.

Overall, pretty accessible and brilliantly unique, this is a great album, and only the pressed peasants can deny Lights ha slayage. An absolute bop from start to finish.

I'd like to introduce a word minimum for reviews, to combat short sentences.
From NOW ON (meaning previous reviews are exempt), reviews MUST meet these requirements.

If you aren't sure how many words are in your review, cut and paste it into Word and it'll tell you at the bottom of the page (right near where it says "Pages: 1 of 1".)
 SINGLE REVIEWS: 80 words
Sample review that is 80 words long:

Song Title by Artist is good but has weak spots. I like the instrumental, but the vocals are a bit weak. The production outshines the lyricism in this track. The prechorus melody is really catchy, and the bridge is a nice change of pace. Unfortunately, by the final chorus I was a bit bored. Although this track doesn't have much replay value, it'll be fun to dance to at a party. All in all, I thought this song was decent.

 ALBUM REVIEWS: 150 words
Sample review that is 150 words long:

Album Title is a stunning collection. It begins with Song Title, which is so addictive. I'd bop to the instrumental. Song Title 2 and Song Title 3 seem like cheap filler, but Song Title 4 is when the album picks back up. The guest rap from Rap Artist fits the song well, and the verse melodies are great. Song The two other standout tracks are Song Title 6 and Song Title 9. Song Title 7 is the perfect mix of emotional and upbeat, and its inspirational lyrics are great to hear. Song Title 9 is the perfect way to close out the album, as its epic final chorus brings the house down.

Overall, this album was very cohesive and most of the songs were catchy and pleasant. Nothing felt out of place or forced on the album. I was very satisfied with Album Title, as it's an excellent pop album.

Carrie Underwood - Something In The Water
	Quote:

Truly a modern day classic, a baptism which celebrates life and the Lord, a future hymn that'll be sung in churches all over the world. Something In The Water is the single that celebrates a decade's worth of country hits for the American Idol winner but also makes it clear that Carrie Marie has no plans to slow down (the fetus in her uterus disagrees, but I digress) and that we'll have another 18 #1 hits in the future.

The religious message of the song, along with Carrie's amazing vocals and majestic belting, makes the song powerful and truly one of a kind. When she starts singing Amazing Grace, you'll want to drop to the floor and raise your hands in the air, unsure if you're one step closer to God or to Carrie herself (is there even a difference?). A mixture of country, gospel, and with a hint of pop, SITW is the single and song of 2014.

iOS doesn't do it by itself.

There are several apps on the App Store that are "word counters." Either download one of those, or simply post your review and I'll tell you if it is too short.
FYI, your original review was 121 words.

 Ok
So do they have to be 150 words and 10 sentences or just 150 words?

Carrie Underwood: Something in the Water

The first single off Carrie Underwood's upcoming Greatest Hits: Decade 1 is simply a work of art that may be Carrie's most personal and raw song she's recorded.

Carrie has never been shy to promote her religious values which we see in her previous singles: "Jesus, Take the Wheel", "Temporary Home" and "See You Again", but in her latest offering she takes it to a completely other level and can almost let us classify "Something in the Water" as a Christian Contemporary music.

Her message of hope and perseverance is highlighted by her powerhouse vocals that can't help but send shivers down your spines as you listen. The softness in her voice as she sings
that transitions to the power as she belts
reminds everyone what a vocal prodigy she is. She also sets a reminder that while other singers need to rely on sex, drugs and alcohol in order to get a hit - Carrie can stay true to herself and not conform to mainstream standards and still stay on top.

The song also shows a growth in song-writing for Carrie. This may be the strongest set of lyrics she's ever wrote. The bridge is easily the best thing she's ever written and gives us hope to what we may see her write in the future.

Overall there's nothing you can complain about for this song. It's the closest to heaven you'll ever be while staying here on earth.
 10/10
