She actually didn't say that she wouldn't perform, she said that she was in conversations but that she won't pay. Considering its been over a month since it was reported she was in the running and there's still been no announcement, Coldplay and Rihanna probably won't be paying to perform either so she's still in the running as far as we know.

good for her. ridiculous with all the money the NFL has - that they're asking pop stars to PAY MONEY in order to perform. I get the SB half time is amazing publicity, but it's still tacky on the NFL's behalf, imo.

Yeah.

And also i feel like this would work negatively against the against the artists as it would say that they didn't actually deserve the spot in a way.

At the same time i get that the NFL is trying to make up for the lost ad revenue during the spot but their logic is flawed since what an artist sells after the event dependent on a number of factors and they may not even make enough to cover what they had to pay the NFL. They're just being greedy in a way.

I mean I honestly can't really blame anyone who wouldn't wanna do it b/c of the Super Bowl trying to charge performers for 'exposure'...
