Of course Katy would win if she has decent selling albums.
Katy hasn't Grossed Rihanna yet, & I'm sure Katy isn't miles ahead of Rihanna in single sales (idk her sales tho)
So the answer Remains about even with Rihanna having the edge, so.
|
And you can't compare TTT's 2011 sales with PRISM's 2013/2014. Unapologetic is the better choice, but then again, Prism is not even 1 year old, whereas UNA is almost 2.
Prismatic is doing much better than the DWT (and she didn't even need Guetta! )
And Roar sold more than any Rihanna single in the 10s (except love the way you lie, but it is Eminem's and matter of fact it is still selling).
The obvious choice is Katy.

|
Psh, idk what this is, Rihanna is bigger this decade.

Girl, Katy promoted TD for 2 damn years & Prism was promoted more than UNA. Katy shows up literally everywhere.

Where have you been? I compared UNA to Prism?
It still hasn't out grossed it.
& LTWYL is still a featured Rihanna hit, so it's hers as well.
As I've answered countless times, Rihanna,

Of course Rihanna sold more albums/records than Katy, she's released 7 albums and 200 singles. Katy's eras remain bigger

You compared PRISM to TTT.

But it will.
So Rihanna's biggest hit is a featuring?
Props to Katy for getting those solo hits.

Mess, I meant UNA.
Anyway, why are you acting as if Rihanna doesn't get solo hits? Girl bye, she isn't a features artist.
I fail to see how Katy Wins.
Rihanna has a bigger overall tour gross, more album sales, almost equal single sales, etc. I mean ..

No, you can't.
Obviously if Katy has two decently selling albums added up & divided by 2, the average will be bigger than Rihanna's added up sales divided by 3. But anyway...

Rihanna, simply because her album and single sales as a total are better, she's talented, acclaimed and consistent. She's awarded as an icon and her success goes beyond music which is why she was also awarded as a fashion icon.

But did I, or did I not take away one rihanna album to compare to Katy's 2?

At the very least their album sales are very even and Katy has more single success. She's also just as consistent, do I need to mention the more than half dozen forgotten flops of UA, TTT and Loud?
Prism's sales are holding up just as well as Rih's last two albums despite being released in a much poorer sales climate.
Again, PWT will match or out gross DWT despite Rih being "so global". And it's only her second major tour.

Rihanna's 3 albums are supposed to add up more than Katy's 2 albums, so the divisor doesn't matter. It's not that hard to understand... Katy's average is bigger than Rihanna's simply because she's more successful

Unapologetic is 1 year older than PRISM, though.
And, are we sure that Loud outsold TD?
