Welcome castaways to the 2nd results show of the season! Below will be your individual scores from each judge. After those are announced, I will post your final team averages as well as other statistics for you all to look at. The two lowest final team average will be heading to Tribal Council to send one of their members home. In total, two of you will leave.

For a general idea of what each score means, I have a little explanation for each one.

10 = Perfect.
9 - 9.5 = Great but not the best.
8 - 8.5 = Good but not great.
7 - 7.5 = Fits decent but something is off about it.
6 - 6.5 = Somewhat relates to the topic but falls flat for whatever reason.
5 - 5.5 = Barely anything to do with the subject at all.
4 - 4.5 = Virtually nothing to do with the topic at all.
3 - 3.5 = Doesn't relate in any way whatsoever.
2 - 2.5 = Horrible but not 1 worthy.
1 - 1.5 = The worst possible example to submit.

With that said, let's get started...

Tribe Bonbondi

1. holyground - Demi Lovato - Shouldn't Come Back

Dylan - 9 - I think this song is an example that you don't have to have a dramatic instrumental to give off the right amount of emotion. The lyrics fit right with the theme. FTLOAD is the superior Demi submission in my opinion but this comes close. Nice pick.

Ethan - 9
This gets a nine because Demi's other song about her dad is a better example. It's also not as clear that it's about her father, aside from the line about missed birthdays, it's not specific. It's definitely about her dad though!

1. Anna - 7
It fits the theme, but the lyrics are so monotonous and don’t tell that much about the relationship. A safe but unexciting choice.

2. MusicLoverDude - Porcelain Black - How Do You Love Someone

Dylan - 8.5 - I actually love Ashley's version as well but I guess this one seems more raw in emotion. The song is a clear fit with it describing a wrecked family life. Overall, another strong round for you MLD.

2. Anna - 10
Now this is great because it doesn’t just talk about the problems with her parents but also how it has messed her up and affects her relationships even as an adult. That’s what I wanted to see this round.

3. Remmy - Lindsay Lohan - Black Hole

Dylan - 6 - I love the song. However, I'm not so sure this is actually about her father rather than just a love interest. Yes, a couple songs on the album are most definitely dedicated to her father (Confessions & My Innocence), but this one's lyrics point to just any regular relationship though it could be interpreted as a parent-child relationship. Overall, a song that is more clear would have worked better. Not as good as last round.

I usually wouldn’t recommend using the artist of the round’s example song, it just has a bit of a bad taste to it - and in this case, it also wasn’t a particularly song choice either. The lyrics don’t mention her father, it could be about an ex, a friend, even a sibling, but either way much too ambigious

4. Speezy - Eminem - Cleanin' Out My Closet

Dylan - 9.5 - I think Eminem works for almost any round that's about anger and raw emotion. It's a clear fit and much better than your last entry Speezy. Keep it up and may we pray for Jason and Jordin to reunite in the future.

Ethan - 9
The overwhelming message of the song is definitely about an angsty broken relationship but there are parts that deviate. It's hard for rap songs to stay on topic for the whole song.

4. Anna - 10
Classic Eminem here and I like how it’s just so brutal and honest about this awful relationship and past he has with his parents. I also like how he compares their behaviour to his own as a parent, it adds more to the subject.

5. Truth Teller - Christina Aguilera - I'm OK

Dylan - 9 - Like Shouldn't Come Back, the song is stripped down instrumentally but still manages to evoke more than enough emotion in the vocals. Lyrically, the song is perfectly fitting as well. Another nice entry from you.

This song is so emotional, just reading through the lyrics gave me goosebumps. She talks about her abusive father who was not just violent against her, but her mum, too, so the whole family was suffering. It’s a different perspective which is good.

6. EuphorianSea - blink-182 - Stay Together For The Kids

Dylan - 9 - It's different and not exactly an artist I would expect whc=ich is what I like about your choices so far even if the last wasn't the best fit. However, this one does fit from the title alone and the lyrics extend on that. Much better job this round.

Ethan - 10
A bit riskier, maybe it was just desperation, but I like the creative interpretation of the theme. Nice.

6. Anna - 9
I really enjoyed the choices you have made so far in the game, very strong and unique songs. This songs is about a child that has to deal with a broken home where the parents don’t get along anymore and fight all the time. It’s a bit cryptic at times but overall it definitely goes with the theme.

7. Lucky#17 - Claire Bowen - Black Roses

Dylan - 5 - The problem with this is that the show made it fit the scenario described in your PM. But we don't take into consideration outside meanings. It has to fit based on its lyrics and its lyrics only. Otherwise, a lot of songs could be "interpreted" as fitting this round. Sorry man.

Ethan - 7
In the show, it was used in a way that made it about a broke mother-daughter relationship, but if you look at the lyrics, it doesn't fit as well. Look at the second verse.

7. Anna - 2
“She said stay away ‘cause that boy's a warning sign”… I don’t think you’d say that about anyone who is actually part of the family? Sounds more like a dangerous/abusive boyfriend. Sorry but I don’t see how it relates to the family theme at all.

8. Gabegabe - Cassadee Pope - 11

Dylan - 8 - The lyrics are a great fit. I wish there was a little more emotion in the vocals since the lyrics stem from a very emotional time in her life. Overall, much better than last round. This is what we want from you.

8. Anna - 10
This is so sad. I didn’t know she had a back story like this, it’s very moving. She describes how that time when her father left caused her to grow up instantly, how it basically ended her childhood which is sad but a great match for the theme.

Tribe Adranaha

1. K$Ellie - Ellie Goulding - I Know You Care

Dylan - 6 - You quoted Ellie confirming this song is about her dad but like I've said to a couple others, the song neeeds to directly point to that. I shouldn't have to look up personal meanings. Better than last round but like others, still not all the way there.

Ethan - 8
I shouldn't have had to dig as far as I did to get what the song was about, but it's a beautiful song!

1. Anna - 4
If Ellie hadn’t said that this is about her dad, I don’t think I would have made the connection, especially because she mentions ‘lovers’ in the song. Just keep in mind that no matter how publicly known the theme behind a song is, it still needs to be apparent in the lyrics themselves.

3. Bey_RihStan - P!nk - Family Portrait

Dylan - 9.5 - You're certainly off to a good start this season. I adore this song. It was attempted to be snatched by probably 12/24 contestants. It's a clear fit for this round from the lyrics to the emotion. You're lucky you snatched it first.

I'm not kidding, don't ever send a Nickelback song again.

3. Anna - 10
One of the easiest and predictable choices, but so fitting. Well done once again.

4. Lippy - Linkin Park - Numb

Dylan - 7 - I think the main theme of the song is feeling like a social outcast, but there are lyrics that point to a strained parent-child relationship in the form of disappointment so it fits in that case. Decent pick. Better than last round but still not all the way there.

Ethan - 8
One of my favorite songs, but it could be interpreted in more ways than one.

4. Anna - 9
At first I thought this might be about peer pressure/being an outsider, and I still think parts of it are. However, the relationship with a parent also gets mentioned and fear of disappointing them as well as the pressure of their expectations. Nice choice.

5. Superiore - Demi Lovato - For the Love of a Daughter

Dylan - 10 - If this had a music video, it would have been the example so you're spot on this round. Beautiful song filled with much emotion. Lyrics completely on point as well. Miles better than last round. Keep it up.

Expected, not very exciting, but fits.

Dylan - 6.5 - It mentions their mother and father a bit which is why you got the score you did. The emotion isn't all the way there and the song seems to have more
emphasis on life's beauty rather than just a broken parent-child relationship. They want to go back to being kids and enjoy what should be an innocent time in life. An improvement from last round but you still have some work to do.

Ethan - 6
Mehhhhh, the focus of this song is not the guy's relationship with his parents. He is broken but I don't think it's just his relationship with his parents that he's
worried about. It has some elements that make it fit the theme, but the focus isn't on him and his parents enough.

6. Anna - 7
While they address their parents in the song, it is more like a general wish to go back to being a child and relive that kind of innocence, where you're blissfully oblivious to the pain and tragedies in the world while at the same time, they are reminding people to appreciate the place we live in because it is beautiful. Kudos for sending in GC though and they do come from a quite difficult family background which does show in the song.

7. Amaloner - Simple Plan - Perfect

Dylan - 10 - I really like this. It's not too dramatic but still displays a broken relationship fueled by disappointment. You're really connecting with the theme so far. Another strong round from you!

I can relate to having a parent that doesn't support your choices, career-wise. I've worked at Target for over two years now and despite getting a 15% discount, my dad just won't shop there. He only shops at Wal-Mart.

7. Anna - 10
Spot on, his dad is disappointed in him and his life choices and that always has a huge impact on the parent/child relationship.

8. Sebas - Eminem feat. Nate Ruess - Headlights

Dylan - 9 - You still did a great job considering your first two choices were taken. Eminem is always one to count on for rounds like these if all else fails. Much better than last round!

It's cool that it mentions the other song about her.

8. Anna - 10
Another autobiographical song from Eminem, and I love how he even mentioned Cleaning Out My Closet which was also sent this round. This is coming from a entirely different place though, many years later, Eminem has matured and now he realises that he still loves his mum despite everything and apologises in this song, and even says he wants a new life because his relationship with his mother is destroyed beyond repair.

Tribe Brilando

1. Bloomers - Will Smith & DJ Jazzy Jeff - Parents Just Don't Understand

Dylan - 2.5 - I did laugh a bit but I still can't give this a good score. The relationship isn't damaged. It's just your typical "you don't understand mom/dad!!" song. A big downgrade from last round. Sorry Bloomers.

Ethan - 10
I love you for this. It's not the best example but it is so perfect.

1. Anna - 1
This song is nowhere near a damaged parent/child relationship, it’s a joke compared to the other entries. Every teen goes through their parents not understanding
things such as cool clothes so this is really nothing dramatic. He is not scarred for life, there are no emotions here, he is just complaining and being a bit bratty.

2. Funky Dinevo - Good Charlotte - Emotionless

Dylan - 9 - Well it was a rough round for you submission wise, but you still ended up succeeding in the end. It's the better Good Charlotte submission of the bunch and your best round so far. Nice fifth pick!

Another Good Charlotte song and this one hits the nail on the head. Here they talk about their disrupted relationship with their dad and how it affected their lives, and how they feel about him today. Good.

3. Cristhian - Madonna - Papa Don't Preach

Dylan - 6 - I actually liked your first submission more than this one. This is conflicting because I thought it didn't fit but the more I listen the more it fits which
is why my score is in the middle. The main focus is her pregnancy here in my opinion rather than her relationship with her father, but it is mentioned. A little step down from last round.

Ethan - 6
No. This isn't about the broken relationship as much as just about her being pregnant.

3. Anna - 1
Okay, so her dad was looking out for her and warned her but she didn’t listen and now she’s in trouble and scared what he will say. That’s not a troubled relationship,
that’s her knowing she messed up and him saying I told you this would happen. He probably helped her anyway in the end.

4. Yvess - Kelly Clarkson - Because of You

Dylan - 9 - Great song. I miss Breakaway Kelly so much. The emotion in her vocals is a 10 but the lyrics needed to be a little bit more on point in some places for
that 10. Nevertheless, a great choice for this round.

Ethan - 9
It's too vague to be perfect but it's definitely about her parents' divorce and definitely one of my favorites.

4. Anna - 10
Easy but perfect choice. I like how the first line already makes it unmistakeably clear that this is about her parent(s), as that is something a lot of children say who have had bad experiences. One of the most emotional songs this round, too

5. Ivory. - Kellie Pickler - I Wonder

Dylan - 9 - I totally didn't think of this song when making this round and I actually stanned Kellie on Idol. You did a good job especially considering all the more obvious songs were taken by the time you got online. The lyrics are completely on point, and I like the subtle but still there emotion behind them. Another strong
round for you.

Ethan - 10
I loved this song back in the day! Made me wish my mom had left me so I could relate.

5. Anna - 10
Wow, the way she describes some typical/important moments in a girl’s life that she had to miss because her mother wasn’t there made me tear up. This is so emotional and exactly what I was looking for this round.

6. prezli - Rihanna - Fool In Love

Dylan - 4 - The song very briefly mentions the parent's disapproval but other than that, it's mainly focused on the fact she's in a relationship that she knows it bad, but she just can't get away from. Still not on the right track yet prezli.

Ethan - 6
Eh, the relationship is rocky because she loves the bad boy but the song isn't about the relationship with her parents.

6. Anna - 1
Just because a song has the words “mama” and “papa” in it does not automatically qualify it for this round. She is dating a guy her parents think is bad for her, and she actually knows it herself, so they aren’t even wrong. They just want to protect her, and she knows they are right but love makes her blind. That has nothing to do with this round.

7. Ihdang2000 - Reba McEntire - The Greatest Man I Never Knew

Dylan - 8 - You worked with what you had. Your first two choices were taken and I'm just glad your third choice works. It's also a little different from the other songs because the father was there physically, not just emotionally. Cool perspective and way better than last round.

This seems even more tragic than an absent parent, when they are there but you have such a distant relationship with them that you are never aware how much they think of you. I guess her dad didn’t know how to or just couldn’t express his feelings, and that has obviously had a huge impact on her.

8. DOMINO - Megan McCauley - I'll Pay You To Shoot Him

Dylan - 8 - This song is so dark where did you find this? She's beyond angry. You were one of the last people in so there weren't many choices left that hadn't been taken so you worked well with what you had. Better than last round.

Quite a drastic song, her father must have done some really bad things for her to want him dead. I can’t really see a lot of emotion, a little bit of anger perhaps so that is why I took some points off but still not a bad choice by any means.

Oh Not tha tea I was expecting, I guess the song is a biT discrete on who the subject is about but it comes right after Confessions on the tracklist and is basically a part 2 to that track, and there are hints in there that make it kind of obvious (stuff like "Somewhere there's a universe of missing stuff" and "I don't need those sneakers or that money after all") But at least the scores aren't terrible. I was just bopping to the whole album a few days ago so I saw that example song and I rushed to grab Black Hole just because they're both similar and express the same pain, emotion, etc.
