Katy's number one market is and always will be the U.S. The Hot 100, like it or not, is our barometer for a single's success. No one in real life will be talking about what was a streaming hit, what was a streaming hit, etc. Unless you're on one of these boards, everything else is irrelevant.
This includes chart peaks tho. TIHWD is a bigger hit to the GP because they are watching the MV more and buying the song whereas Birthday was played on the radios and they didn't necessarily ask for nor want it.
