Welcome castaways to the 1st Tiebreaker of the season. Either Qatari Monster or gotintoririfever1 will be leaving the island rn. The higher average stays in the game. The lower average will be the first castaway eliminated this season.
I sent their entries early to give you guys some type of update today. Tomorrow should be regular results if things go as planned.
Let's get started
TIEBREAKER
Qatari Monster vs. gotintoririfever1

1. Qatari Monster - Beyonce - Daddy
Quote:

Dylan - 2 - Yes, it's about a father which is where your one extra generous point came from, but she's praising him. Nothing is broken about the relationship. The lyrics clearly state her love for her father. It's like you just saw the title and submitted it. You need to look at the lyrics, not just one word. Unfortunately, you probably won't get another chance to improve. Can't say you didn't get more than one chance to do so though.

Dude, what on Earth?! This is the EXACT opposite of what this round was asking for. We're looking for broken relationships, where they are not on good terms. Beyonce and her father are on AMAZING terms in this song. She is proud of him, she adores him, she wants all the men in her life to be like him. Why did you send this? Where in it do you see any sort of a broken relationship? If you somehow stay in this competition after this, I need you to make sure you READ directions and work to send something that even remotely fits the theme.

Re-evaluate your life.

2. gotintoririfever1 - Good Charlotte - Beautiful Place

Dylan - 6.5 - It mentions their mother and father a bit which is why you got the score you did. The emotion isn't all the way there and the song seems to have more emphasis on life's beauty rather than just a broken parent-child relationship. They want to go back to being kids and enjoy what should be an innocent time in life. An improvment from last round but you still have some work to do.

Mehhhhh, the focus of this song is not the guy's relationship with his parents. He is broken but I don't think it's just his relationship with his parents that he's worried about. It has some elements that make it fit the theme, but the focus isn't on him and his parents enough.

While they address their parents in the song, it is more like a general wish to go back to being a child and relive that kind of innocence, where you're blissfully oblivious to the pain and tragedies in the world while at the same time, they are reminding people to appreciate the place we live in because it is beautiful. Kudos for sending in GC though and they do come from a quite difficult family background which does show in the song.

Winner:
gotintoririfever01
Average - 6.5
Congratulations. While your score isn't necessarily high, it was enough to keep you in the game for now. This will be your score in the actual results show as well so there won't be any surprise numbers when results do come.
1st castaway eliminated from Survivor: ATRL Edition (Season 4):
Qatari Monster
Average: 1.33
Qatari Monster, it's the end of the road for you tonight. Unfortunately, you have to be the first to go but with poor entries like these, I can't say I'm too surprised. Regardless of your scores, I'm glad to have had you sign up this season as a fresh contestant. Thanks for signing up and showing interest in my game. I appreciate it. I'll see you around the forum. Maybe you'll get your revenge on a future season of Survivor? - Dylan
