Older gay men are a part of a different culture than younger gay men (though there is a lot of overlapping and a lot of young dudes that want lifestyles like that). There's a lot of hurt, depression, and pent up rage the older they get, mainly due to how terrible society treated (some still treat) them for so long. It is very sad. I can't really ever look at them as weird though, just people that went through very hard **** that most of us can't even comprehend and are still dealing with the aftershock.

Most of these older gays lost friends and partners because of AIDS, it's only natural that with time they get ''weird'', hard moving on from watching people you loved die for unknown reasons and with nobody giving a damn

I've literally only ever seen one article about that on here.

But moreover, you do realize stuff like that happens like ten times as often with straights, to the point where it's hardly newsworthy, right? The only reason it's even a major story is that hacky sensationalist news outlets are trying to make Grindr out to be some sort of filthy disease-ridden brothel when it's perfectly fine so long as you use discretion.
