I think "Pretend" could work within the context of the album. It's kinda like how I felt "Full Moon" and "What About Us?" were awkward until I listened to the whole album.

All the critics said that the leftovers is too good to be on TV. One of the reviews I read described the first season as one of the strongest first seasons they had ever seen.
I really love it when a kesha or a briotney stan says he doesn't like the leftovers It's like they can't enjoy anything other than literal trash .
The Leftovers can be compared to The Emperors new clothes. Only the fake and pretentious can pretend to like such trash to appear cool. But in the end there is nothing there. At All.
