Yeah. I've come across some ATRLers say that,
and Pitchfork made a comparison too.
Of course, I completely understand why people don't see it at all. They are different.
"Hungover" and "Dancing With Tears In My Eyes"; those kind of heartbroken party songs. Lyrically, that's what Tove has gone for. Tove doesn't exactly make "party music" per say. It's just an aspect of her lyricism, but from a darker place.
Eh. I was just thinking that so many songs on
Queen of the Clouds would have been perfect for Kesha's next record. It still retains that youthfulness, but the songwriting and melodies have more substance than anything Luke has done.
