Many of todays current pop were originally Britney clones.
Britney was the standard to all these pop girls.
She was even a standard for Beyonce at one point.

She has a legacy and epitomizes the stereotype of the American commercial pop star. People deny it because shes so incredibly asinine that it seems questionable to give her so much credit, but its true.

Even so his music was heavily acclaimed before the saga and he always had immense respect even after the allegations but as for Britney her music has never received that much acclaim.

He was highly respected as an artist for not his personal life hence why he had the highest honors one could get in the industry. He was inducted in several hall of fames lifetime achievement awards he even had awards named after him. Even in the midst of his scandals no one would dare question his status as a legend. Britney is just not on that level.
