[Ice Cream Skies]

This is a really strong pop album! I have to say I wasn't expecting the entire album to be so '80s-pop based (especially after hearing Portal), but all the songs are catchy enough to stand on their own, especially after repeated plays. It's definitely very cohesive & feels like one body of work. I can see this being in my top 5 of the year!

I too think it's very cohesive. I think it's her strongest set of songs so far. Though some of them I feel are filler and sound too similar (Speeding and Slow Down especially).

My faves are Meteorites (Insanely catchy), Muscle Memory (takes me on a trip to the 80's), Portal (just gorgeous), Same Sea, and How We Do It (love the message).

i've enjoyed her first 2 albums but this one is just beyond anything she's ever done, im slayed from start to finish. i get strong Carly Rae 'Kiss' teas with this album. really loving this, wasnt expecting this kind of slayage from her

Hmm. After listening to this on the first go I'm not sure what to feel about it! I definitely prefer Siberia to this, but I don't hate it or anything.

The more I listen, the better the album gets. It's definitely a grower. I think the thing with this album is it lacks many of the great highs that her previous albums have had. Rather, this album appears to all be kind of on the same wavelength, which can feel a little underwhelming at first, but doesn't mean it's necessarily bad.

Any songs on the album that are similar to "Siberia" (the song)? That was my favorite from that album, it's magical.

I prefer Siberia (the album) over all the songs on this album, but I'm pleasntly surprised after downloading it, because I HATE Up We Go and Running with the Boys (0/5 stars from me). Portal didn't do much for me either, so I was dreading hearing it.

But after going through it, the three released, Meteorites, and How We Do It were the only disappointments.

The other 9 tracks are flawless, especially Oil & Water and Muscle Memory!

Perseids are really visible meteor showers. Thanks for the input though! She just says it weird...per-se-ids.

Album is starting to grow on me

I've also noticed that it's making me feel really sentimental/nostalgic. For some reason, when I listen to it it makes me think of my childhood and I find myself wishing to be a kid again, with no worries about the world or responsibilities

Definitely my favorite album from her so far. Siberia was amazing, but some of the production sounded gritty. This is so clean and effortless to listen to.
