Well, this might be only my opinion, but I totally hate when artists do such things.
Stick to your ****ing work, IT IS YOURS.
Gaga is already a certified millionaire and doesn't have to completely rely on her label's approval or money to keep on releasing music videos for her songs.
The underperformance of the album isn't any reason to cancel the entire era and any possible music video project, it just shows that you are weak as an artist, that you probably didn't expect this and that you can't take it. I can name countless artists that beside having their 3rd or even 2nd single a complete flop, still went on with it and released a bunch of other music videos.
I would have never expected the ARTPOP era to be cut so short, neither that she would only release 2 music videos from the entire record, while she was the one to tell us that she wanted to put out as many singles as possible from this record and film a music video for each song on it.
But yea, this is whole different discussion.
