There are other songs too, one basically about how they tried and it just didn't work out. Sounds to me like it'll just be about it being too difficult for two stars of their stature and business to maintain an active relationship. She also said she hasn't suffered a real heartbreak since the relationship that inspired Red, so I think she and Harry were never very serious anyways
I still think they were mostly "dating" for PR reasons (for both of them), so it makes sense tbh.
