Why are rapper so desperate to be known as the best at something? Is it insecurity or something?

You don't see singers putting down other singers in songs and claiming to be the best of the best. Rappers are so cringeworthy with that crap even if they are good rappers

It comes with the territory it's not exactly insecurity but more a show of bravado.

Well considering I've seen like 20 different Zico tracks all talking about him being the best and a superior rapper, the whole thing is just stale. If he cares so much about he credibility as a rapper, why is he in an idol group making pop music?

Everything about idol rappers like Zico just screams "sell out" if anything. Make simple and easy to digest music in an idol group while jumping around on stage in rainbow colored outfits with blonde hair. I guess I really shouldn't find it a surprise he feels the need to constantly validate himself as a rapper

I watched the whole video and all the members are wearing black/white the whole time.

My bias in VIXX is Ken though. 4/6 of them could get it though.
