SPEARS SOARING: Based on one-day sales reports, though it’s still early, Britney Spears’ Jive/ZLG album Circus, which hit the streets today, is on track to exceed expectations. Originally, pundits had it pegged at around 300k, but initial retailer feedback indicates it could go much higher. Give credit to radio airplay, stellar reviews, the MTV documentary and a widely seen performance on ABC’s Good Morning America, where she announced her upcoming tour, for the positive results. (HDD)
Basically, before the album was released, they predicted that it would sell 300k ( which is stupid, considering Blackout sold around 300k with no promotion and her being so hated). But after initial sales report today, they think it would FAR exceed their expectations.
Umm that report doesnt say anyting like "far exceed" expection.
Im really hoping for 400k+. I would expect 350k.
Anything less is a huge dissapointment.

50k is not MUCH higher by anyone's standards, especially when we are talking about predictions made before the album even went on sale

I still don't feel like she's dancing enough. I know it's an improvement compared to VMAs 2007 but she had already performed three times before this one and I thought it was going to be better but it was just fine.
But she looked really hot!
300k sounds about how much I thought she would sell. I know everyone had very high expectations, but I couldn't see her pushing more than 500k.
I was so pumped up for her live performances, but as a huge Britney fan, I feel like her spark is missing. I'm going to be honest when I say that I don't care for any lives she's done so far. I juts hope this is slow exposition for the amazing treat she'll give us in the future.
She better. I just spent $1,110 on VIP tickets for her tour.
